Belly Dance Class with Cecilia

Cecilia’s experience in a multitude of dance styles, including ballet, modern, Jazz, and Latin along with 15 years of bellydance training with some of the best US teachers, helps her be a thorough and creative bellydance teacher.  Cecilia focus on dance kinesiology detailed technique, and dramatic theatrics.  Cecilia will teach not only proper technique, and music interpretation, but also the story and spirit of the dance.

Class descriptions:

Beginning Technique Class (4 week session)

Cecilia has a beginning  Level 1 technique belly dance classes on Wednesday Evenings from 7:0pm-8:00pm . No prior experience needed.  We will be leaning the basics and drilling proper technique. The cost is $40.00 for the eight week. Tuition is due in full at the first class. Beginning II Class (ongoing)

Cecilia has a beginning  Level 1 technique belly dance classes on Monday Evenings from 6:40pm-7:40pm . In this class we will be drilling the basic moves and working them into combinations and a choreography. You must have taken one of my 8 week beginning sessions,  private lessons, or have learned the basics from another instructor to enter this class. Please contact Cecilia with questions. Multi Level Technique Class (ongoing)

Cecilia has a beginning  Level 2 technique belly dance classes on Wed. nights from 5:45pm-6:45pm . This class is for any level, but dedication and commitment is essential. We will be drilling technique and working on the "5 part" classical bellydance format. We will be working on different focus bi-monthly. May and June 2010, we will be working on slow moves and veil. The cost is $40.00 a month. Tuition is due the first Wed. of the month. Advanced Drill Class (Ongoing)

Cecilia teaches a traditional belly dance drill class on Monday nights at a private studio near Emerald & Garden St. in Boise from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. We will alternate, the first and 3^rd Monday we will be super slow drills, and fast combos, the 2^nd and 4^th Monday’s we will do fast drills, and slow combos.

This class is open to dancers who have a good grasp on belly dance technique and want a challenging fast paced practice. Permission from Cecilia is necessary to take this class. Recitals:

There will be at least 2 student opportunities to perform a year.  Choreographies will be taught in class.  NO ONE HAS TO PERFORM.

Private lessons:

Private lessons are available for either specific instruction or to place you in an existing class * Private lessons available. By appointment only.  $25.00 and hour

Mentoring:

If you are a student interested in taking your dance the next level, be it from student to hobbyist, or hobbyist to professional, Cecilia has a one-on-one mentoring program.  We will work on proper costumes, performance technique, stage presence, professionalism, dance etiquette, and the business of bellydance.

Class Discounts:

*If you take two classes a week it will be $60.00 a month.

 *Family discount.  This first family member is full price; the second family member is half price.
